Dr. Jacob Merkley

Dr. Merkley was born and raised in Colorado before eventually making Wyoming home. He spent 10 years in Wyoming while attending the University of Wyoming, where he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees before continuing his veterinary education at Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine in Glendale, Arizona.

Dr. Merkley is passionate about providing compassionate, individualized care and understands that every patient is unique. He enjoys building strong relationships with pet owners and working together to help animals live healthy, happy lives.

His professional interests include surgery, exotic animal medicine, cattle, and equine care, allowing him to care for a wide variety of patients.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Merkley enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors with his two Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mixes. As an Eagle Scout, he has a strong appreciation for the outdoors and adventure, and he also spends much of his free time training his dogs in Search and Rescue.
