Cooper
Veterinary Assistant
Cooper joined the Watford City Veterinary Center in August of 2025 as a student employee from the Bakken Area Skills Center, working as a Veterinary Assistant which allows him to earn credits for the Veterinary Science program. The skills he is learning at WCVC will be hugely beneficial for his future career path in veterinary medicine when he goes on to attend NDSU in the fall of 2026 to work towards obtaining his Bachelor's degree in Animal Health. Cooper's end goal is to eventually get into Vet School and earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).
Cooper's favorite things about working in vetmed includes the variety of different species, breeds and chaotic unpredictability surrounding the daily work environment. He also loves the dynamic between pet owners and their fur babies and how we have the opportunity to enrich that bond.
Outside of work and school, Cooper enjoys spending time in the gym and participating in activities with FFA (Future Farmers of America). Cooper is "owned" by a pitbull named Deezel and an orange tabby named George.
